one day, i told myself, my life could be more challenging even all my dreams faded, my aspirations shattered,
so i took out my old dirty watercolour papers and started to splash water and colours on it.
i added the details in the following days......

surprisingly, these two pieces seemed so clam and tranquil, i found serenity in painting again,
however, when i stopped, i would find myself so so restless....

this was done in the 70s when i was studying architecture at that time. i was with a
group of friends who were into serious painting and we even went to ipoh, malaysia for a painting trip. one of them
was lim tiong ghee who
became an full time artist and his work was collected by state dignitaries. i might be just as good or even better
if i didn't become an architect.
well, couldn't i just dream......

this was done during an outdoor painting trip in 2005 with a friend and my son.
technically speaking, it is mixed media with light pink handmade paper on watercolour paper, so the building is pink.
i also added bright blue with roller over a piece of perforated plastic sheet. i was in experimental mood..
